Ellie Haycraft

Remedial Massage Therapist

Hi all. I’m Ellie and LIFTS newest sports and remedial massage therapist!
I completed my Advance Diploma of Sports Therapy in Melbourne at the Australian College of Sports Therapy in 2013. After Studying in Melbourne I decided it was time for a sea change and moved to Adelaide. Here I balance my time between running a small business called Peake Health offering remedial massage and family life.
I have been in the industry since 2013 treating many clients with a range of different modalities ranging from remedial massage, dry needling, myofascial cupping and sports injury assessment and rehabilitation.
My love of Health and the body stems from a very active childhood in the Victorian high country. Here it was considered normal to try your hand at all sports and not just specialise in one. As a jack of all sports I was trying my hand at anything from Aussie rules football, tennis, basketball, netball and cross-country running.

During my career I have worked with many sporting clubs and athletes ranging from weightlifters, triathletes and footballers first as a qualified personal trainer to then treating them as a physical therapist. I have also spread my work across many different physiotherapy clinics like the Adelaide Crows Sports Medicine Clinic and My Physio SA. In the past year I have also commenced a teaching role with a company called Advanced Clinical Education where I spend many weekends teaching and helping other health professionals complete a range of professional development courses from dry needling, joint mobilisations, myofascial cupping and neurodynamics.
In my spare time I love being with my partner Darren and two children 7 year old Eddie and 4 year old Pip. I’m very down to earth and love the simple things in life like pottering in the garden, cooking up a healthy feast and walking Ruby, my fur baby and best-behaved child through the local bush lands in the Adelaide hills.
I come to The LIFT. Movement with a large range of expertise and I’m looking forward to meeting you all in Blackwood and working with you to achieve all your health and wellness goals.

Sam is a Podiatrist at LIFT who has a keen interest in prevention and rehabilitation treatments for lower limb injuries, with a mixture of functional biomechanics/load management and footwear assessments. He has an innovative approach to helping manage load and stress to help clients stay active while recovering from injuries.

Teri Schubert

Senior Physiotherapist

Hi! I’m Teri. I have experience in managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions of all different age groups. I’ve been playing netball competitively for years which has stemmed my interest in sports injuries and keeping people active through their rehab (no one likes the sidelines)! I have a background in clinical Pilates which has led well into extending my strength and conditioning knowledge which I now use to create treatment plans. I have advanced training in dry needling, and I am also certified by CCMI to assess and manage concussions. Everyone’s journey is different, and I will always get to know your story and work with you through all elements of your rehab. I believe that education around your injury and treatment definitely gives you an upper hand and empowers you to take control of managing future injuries. I love a good chat so I look forward to seeing you in around in the clinic!

Elle Polkinghorne

Remedial Massage Therapist

“Elle is the Remedial Massage Therapist here at LIFT. With a passion for fitness and health herself, she loves that her job helps clients return back to doing the things they enjoy whilst supporting and preventing the body from injury. Elle’s passion for massage was ignited after starting her career with the North Adelaide Football Club. From here, she went on to work with the Adelaide Thunderbirds Netball Club and interstate A league teams with Soccer, Cricket and AFL. Don’t be fooled, Elle isn’t just limited to sport. She also has extensive clinical experience, working alongside Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Naturopaths and loves treating clients with Neural issues, nerve impingements, Sciatic symptoms, bulging discs and headaches/migraine management. Her clinical experience has exposed her to a wide range of conditions, leading her to continually developing her knowledge and skills. Elle’s technique is trigger point therapy based mixed in with active release techniques and soft and deep tissue work. She finds this combination achieves effective results for her clients. Dry Needling will also be added to her repertoire in the coming months. When Elle isn’t massaging she can be found regularly exercising whether it be in the REVL Training Classes, Hiking, Running, Cycling and Swimming.”
